Buttercup Sunshine was sold as a four-book series, but the publisher cut it short after book 2. While frustrating, this is the unfortunate reality of publishing. Publishers take risks when they try something new and sometimes it doesn't pay off. In this case, book 1 just didn't sell as well as hoped, so the series was dropped. I was gutted, but if a book doesn't sell, it doesn't sell. Simple as that.
